We are pretty sure everyone is aware what this is and how we should "do our bit". The rule is wash and re wash your hands. When you arrive at a dance hall or our weekender, please go and wash your hands before you shake/touch anyone's hands. Always during the day and evening, keep up this practice and as many dancers carry their own "hand gels", please get a supply yourself. We at MJRoc Dance weekenders always provide Hand Gels which we encourage you to use in addition to what is offered in the venue. You find these in all dance hall areas. Toilets are situated by both dance halls at BeachRoc so there is no excuse in not washing your hands. Lets keep dancing safe. We can all make a big difference. PLEASE "Do your bit!" |

Warmwell Weekender's have sold out every year for the 11TH consecutive year, thank you. (Sadly Warmwell 2020 was cancelled due to Covid 19 guideline concerns which would have made it 12)
Book for these excellent dance Warmwell weekenders, full of top teachers, 3 installed professional dance floors with halls interlocking, and with an impressive list of top DJs filling the dance halls with the very best dance music. Warmwell has earned the reputation of being one of the top modern jive dance weekenders in the country.
We are unable to sell day or evening freestyle passes, and have never done so at Warmwell events despite what people have stated.

What can I say that has not been said so many times before.
Wow wow wow, from all the fabulous workshops, venue, music, location. Still the best dance weekender.
Colin Gazza and crew you worked your socks of to ensure the weekend went smoothly.
But..... the one thing that stood out for me was the way that Colin Shaul was adamant that everyone attending was kept safe.
His duty of care to us all was perfection and I for one applaud you, thank you so much.

Mine and Sue’s first visit to this dance weekender in Dorset and certainly won’t be our last.
Such a wonderful atmosphere and venue and very comfortable accommodation in lodges.
Lovely to meet up with so many friends and met lots of new ones and so many magical dances
We did some excellent classes - modern jive, smooth jive, blues and west coast swing.
The Saturday night was a particular highlight when 40 random couples entered the Dance with a Stranger competition (many thanks to Fiona for putting my name down for it xx).
Special thanks to my partner, Michelle McCallum, who I met for the first time and for the beautiful dances (jive and blues) .

I've just come home from the most amazing dance weekender at Warmwell. Workshops all day then dancing into the early hours. Fancy dress night on the Sunday. Realised when it unpacked I’d brought my feedback form home! Duh.... anyways all it said was everything was great, the gender balance you achieved was perfect and doesn’t need tweaking, Lee and Dawn’s double trouble and line dance classes were fabulous...and so much fun too, Lee’s chat is just hilarious...and finally Ruth Ferguson, the shoe lady from Weymouth was really really helpful... Friday night I saw a pair of dance shoes I really liked but she didn’t have my size. She said she’d check her stock at home and if she had my size she’d bring them in on Saturday....sadly she didn’t have my size. But she rang her daughter to get her to check her stock & her daughter had my size, delivered it to her Mum Ruth, then Sunday afternoon Ruth rang me to say she was sitting in the sellers area with my new dance shoes! & they fitted...I wore them all Sunday night...and no sore toes!! That’s def a first all round for me! So hope the above can be taken into account when you go through your feedback forms. I had some really loves dances this weekend and made some new dance partner friends too so thanks again for everything you do to make this such a super fun dance weekend. “Best dance weekender l ever been on in 20 years of dancing. Thank you Colin and a massive effort from Gazza for great music and doing brilliant job of making the fancy dress hilarious, all Colin's helpers Tracey, Steve B and so many more. Lee Perrott who took the pool party was incredibly funny. It was like an American Football match in the pool with no prisoners taken.
Sonya Stephens for some amazing dances and talking me into doing dance with a stranger. Great teachers ( Loved Rene's Tango class), excellent accommodation, delicious food. Another brilliant MJRoc Warmwell weekend. I've never seen so many people get into the fancy dress spirit. Probably have to use both dance floors for it next year! Thanks also to all the incredibly expressive dancers who kept the late night blues going 30 minutes over the allocated times on both Friday and Saturday nights and also were so appreciative on the Sunday afternoon that they also kept me on for another 30 minutes by popular acclaim. I loved the whole weekend. It has to be said that Colin, Gazza and all the crew always manage to provide a well organised, varied and fun dance weekend. I think this was one of the best yet. JOHN

Ray has DJ’d at many MJ Roc weekends, but there was an extra special ‘something ‘about this year’s Warmwell. Of course it was well organised, of course there were great dancers, of course there were great lessons - but - there was something extra special this year, just a great buzz and friendly banter that can’t be explained. Well done Colin, Gazza and Nicky. For me, my highlight was laughing with Tracy and Christine in Lee’s Line Dancing lesson, and reminiscing to my favourite tunes in the ‘Old School’ slots. My first Warmwell and what an incredible weekend everyone in The Nottingham Dance Gang had. I’d hear it was good, but nothing could have prepared me for a took place over three fun packed days and nights of dancing. I’ve collected a great deal of material for reviews for my blog. Hopefully I’ll get the first article on the blog by the end of the week. In the meantime, can I thank all the people that danced with me and my Dance Gang friends. This proved to be one the friendliest events I’ve ever been to, and I can see why Warmwell is so well loved and a sell-out every year. My thanks also to all the MJRoc crew. You were so welcoming on our arrival and the whole weekend was so wonderfully organised. I look forward to getting on my computer to write the story of it all. Paul
I'm having a break in my journey at Lyme Regis after an INCREDIBLE weekend at Warmwell. I loved doing the workshops although a couple of the routines were dicey!! Book for these excellent dance Warmwell weekenders, full of top teachers, 3 installed professional dance floors with halls interlocking, and with an impressive list of top DJs filling the dance halls with the very best dance music. Warmwell has earned the reputation of being one of the top modern jive dance weekenders in the country.
We are unable to sell day or evening freestyle passes, and have never done so at Warmwell events despite what people have stated.

Mine and Sue’s first visit to this dance weekender in Dorset and certainly won’t be our last.
Such a wonderful atmosphere and venue and very comfortable accommodation in lodges.
Lovely to meet up with so many friends and met lots of new ones and so many magical dances
We did some excellent classes - modern jive, smooth jive, blues and west coast swing.
The Saturday night was a particular highlight when 40 random couples entered the Dance with a Stranger competition (many thanks to Fiona for putting my name down for it xx).
Special thanks to my partner, Michelle McCallum, who I met for the first time and for the beautiful dances (jive and blues) .

Realised when it unpacked I’d brought my feedback form home! Duh.... anyways all it said was everything was great, the gender balance you achieved was perfect and doesn’t need tweaking, Lee and Dawn’s double trouble and line dance classes were fabulous...and so much fun too, Lee’s chat is just hilarious...and finally Ruth Ferguson, the shoe lady from Weymouth was really really helpful... Friday night I saw a pair of dance shoes I really liked but she didn’t have my size. She said she’d check her stock at home and if she had my size she’d bring them in on Saturday....sadly she didn’t have my size. But she rang her daughter to get her to check her stock & her daughter had my size, delivered it to her Mum Ruth, then Sunday afternoon Ruth rang me to say she was sitting in the sellers area with my new dance shoes! & they fitted...I wore them all Sunday night...and no sore toes!! That’s def a first all round for me! So hope the above can be taken into account when you go through your feedback forms. I had some really loves dances this weekend and made some new dance partner friends too so thanks again for everything you do to make this such a super fun dance weekend. In no particular order... i've watched some really skilled dancers who inspire me and really got into the wcs workshop superbly taught by Catriona (really great workshop). My friends Andrea Francis , Jeff Dodd and I had an absolute ball with double trouble. Awesome crew (loved watching them go about their business with such military precision). Another brilliant MJRoc Warmwell weekend. I've never seen so many people get into the fancy dress spirit. Probably have to use both dance floors for it next year! Thanks also to all the incredibly expressive dancers who kept the late night blues going 30 minutes over the allocated times on both Friday and Saturday nights and also were so appreciative on the Sunday afternoon that they also kept me on for another 30 minutes by popular acclaim. I loved the whole weekend. It has to be said that Colin, Gazza and all the crew always manage to provide a well organised, varied and fun dance weekend. I think this was one of the best yet. JOHN

Ray has DJ’d at many MJ Roc weekends, but there was an extra special ‘something ‘about this year’s Warmwell. Of course it was well organised, of course there were great dancers, of course there were great lessons - but - there was something extra special this year, just a great buzz and friendly banter that can’t be explained. Well done Colin, Gazza and Nicky. For me, my highlight was laughing with Tracy and Christine in Lee’s Line Dancing lesson, and reminiscing to my favourite tunes in the ‘Old School’ slots. My first Warmwell and what an incredible weekend everyone in The Nottingham Dance Gang had. I’d hear it was good, but nothing could have prepared me for a took place over three fun packed days and nights of dancing. I’ve collected a great deal of material for reviews for my blog. Hopefully I’ll get the first article on the blog by the end of the week. In the meantime, can I thank all the people that danced with me and my Dance Gang friends. This proved to be one the friendliest events I’ve ever been to, and I can see why Warmwell is so well loved and a sell-out every year. My thanks also to all the MJRoc crew. You were so welcoming on our arrival and the whole weekend was so wonderfully organised. I look forward to getting on my computer to write the story of it all. Paul
I'm having a break in my journey at Lyme Regis after an INCREDIBLE weekend at Warmwell. I loved doing the workshops although a couple of the routines were dicey!! BeachRoc is back again in April 2021 our affordable and exciting Modern Jive Isle of Wight Hotel Dance Weekender, alongside the beach.
Sold out in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2022!
Sadly BeachRoc 2020 was cancelled due to the UK Coronavirus and was 99.55 full when Covid lockdown came.
BeachRoc will be held at the award winning Trouville Hotel, a top Island hotel with high standards in food, service and hospitality; centrally located on Sandown’s golden beach seafront with panoramic views over the Bay. Has two dance halls overlooking the sea and most Trouville bedrooms are facing the sea! Special weekend passes for IOW residents.
Trouville Hotel when sold out, we can offer further hotels in Sandown.
If you stay at the other Hotels, meals are there too. Options to be on the beach road on inland.
We are unable to sell one day or evening freestyle passes, and have never done so at our Isle of Wight events. Isle of Wight residents can buy 2 or 3 day passes.

A big thank you to Colin, Gazza, Evelyn and the BeachRoc Crew for putting on another AMAZING weekend! Thank you also to everyone who came to our classes and brought your wonderful smiles, energy and sense of fun! If you enjoyed it half as much as we did, you must have had a great time :) Thank you for all our dances too. We had a fantastic time, loved every minute of it, and the highlight of course - Lee was delighted his team won the Rounder’s tournament for a 2nd year! Just got back from another fabulous dance weekend with BeachRoc on the Isle of Wight. Left Fishbourne on the island on the 11am ferry and back in Bognor by 12.30pm - no delays. Thank you Colin Shaul for yet another brilliant weekend! P
